Linkin park themselves
The band started off with the name Xero, then Hybrid Theory, and finally Linkin Park
The band got their name from California's Lincoln Park named after president LincolWarner Brothers rejected the band 3 times before they finally signed them
They don't swear in most of their songs. They feel there are better ways to get their message across
They chose "Linkin Park" because Chester used to drive by Lincoln Park in Santa Monica, CA after practice and it grabbed his attention. The guys in the band liked how it sounded.
They changed the spelling of their band ('Lincoln' to 'Linkin') so they could purchase the domain name without it costing them a great amount of money.
Linkin Park has two side projects: Fort Minor and Snow White Tan
Minutes to midnight
Linkin Park's third album, Minutes to Midnight, is a reference to the Doomsday Clock. In the music video for "Shadow of the Day", the current time is shown at the beginning of the video 11:55 pm; by the end, it would have nearly reached midnight

everyone is saying its about religion when its not its about the domestic and social problems faced during a day in the life of a young unpopular female student.The girl apparently spends much of her time drawing pictures, revealing that she probably has dreams of becoming an artist. She is largely ignored and ridiculed at school, considering that when she is told off by the teacher for drawing in class everybody laughs at her, when she trips on the stairs nobody stops to help her up, and that when she tries to join a group of girls at a lunch table they immediately get up and leave.Also, there is a scene where her mother is ridiculing her for not being the daughter she wanted. There are also self-inflicted cut marks on her arms, which actually say "NUMB" - the title of the song. She is shown near the end of the video rubbing the marks after a stressful day, and then deciding to work off her stress by throwing paint instead. At the end of the video, the girl runs into the church that the band was singing in, almost as if she heard them.
